Corporate Greencode

Under CEL 2 2012 it is a mandatory requirement for all NHSScotland Health Boards to have an effective Environmental Management System (EMS).

In order to support Boards with this, HFS has developed and maintains the Corporate Greencode toolkit which can be accessed by authorised users. This is a suite of software containing legal and aspects registers, templates and other support materials. It guides staff through the development and implementation of their corporate EMS to help them keep track of and report their compliance with applicable environmental legislation, and to identify and implement imrpovement priorities.

HFS also provides direct support and capacity building to authorised users via the Corporate Greencode User Group, which meets approximately every two months to discuss Boards' progress with their EMS, identify problems and solutions, and further develop the toolkit to meet user needs. For more information please contact Doug Flint on 0141 207 1853 or via email.
