On behalf of Scottish Government (SG), we receive reports and co-ordinate the investigation of adverse incidents involving health, social care, estates and facilities equipment in Scotland, working mainly with NHSScotland and also with Scottish Local Authorities (not estates and facilities).
We maintain close communications with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) with regards to medical device safety and distribute their Medical Device Alerts in Scotland. Where necessary, we issue UK-wide Estates and Facilities Alerts in partnership with England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
