Endoscope Decontamination - Washer Disinfector Quarterly Testing

We held a series of three day training sessions on Endoscope Washer Disinfector Quarterly Testing in conjunction with three NHSScotland Boards: NHS Fife, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and NHS Grampian. These events where held on 20th August 2012, 7th August 2012 and 10th July 2012, respectively. The training was aimed at NHSScotland staff which will or are expected to carry out Quarterly Testing on Endoscope Washer Disinfectors within Endoscope Decontamination Units (EDUs). The aim of this course was to ensure NHSScotland Staff are certified to perform quarterly test for Endoscope Washer Disinfectors.
Completion of this training will give the attendees the knowledge and understanding required to ensure that Endoscope washer disinfectors are performing within acceptable parameters on a quarterly basis which contribute to a safe, effective and quality service provided by their department or unit.
